Work perfectly with no errors..infact reduced my cpu load from25% to 0.1% ...I was using 2.0 version and i know this reduce the cpu..i might change earlier .

I believe I may have found a bug. When I edit the option that determines how many shouts are shown, it will not change. The value is changeable, but the actual number of shouts shown seems to not change - at least when the number is bigger than the default (I have not tested it with a smaller value).

Replace this with:

Save and upload!

You should put whatever page you want it to run on. For instance, if you put the comment at the end of navbar, then it could appear on any page that uses navbar. With the script restriction, however, the modification will not show the shoutbox on any script (or page) that is not listed. So if you only wanted to show the shoutbox on index.php, then just put "index" (without quotes). If you wanted it on index.php, online.php, forumdisplay.php, showthread.php, and showpost.php, then you would put "index,online,forumdisplay,showthread,showpost" (without quotes).

1. When someone PM-shout's you, you dont automaticly get a PM tab. you have to click on that person first to be able to reply.
2. All your PM's are also shown in the regular general window.

Looks like it's because you still have the old vbshout installed. Uninstall it, then remove the files from your server and it should be fixed :)

I downloaded the file as posted here, installed it, but I have 'some' issues;

At first it didn't work at all, I think this is because in the templates the code refers to vbshout.php and in the zipped package the php file was called "infernoshout.php".

After I changed that, it showed up and looked like it worked. However I got the message that it's shoutbox lite v2.5.0 and not 2.5.1. Weird but whatever, as long as it works.

But it doesn't! It just shows;

I have installed this succsesfully before on a diff board. But now I am having trouble. I put the <!--{%SHOUTBOX%}--> in the forumhome template and the forumdisplay template. I then go add those to the list but after I refresh the forum board the shoutbox does not show up. Why is this?

Then save your template.

I did search in the phrases and found tons of Shoutbox phrases, but still unsure of which one of those is for the title of the Shoutbox, or how to delete it...I am a noob where working with phrases are concerned...Any help would be so appreciated...Be well-

I have done all said fixes for vbseo and nothing is working. when i disable vbseo, the shoutbox works fine. from what I've read elsewhere, I need custom rewrite rules for this.

I have removed all files from ftp then uninstalled teh product. I reuploaded the files and imported the product again. And it still just loads. Can anyone help?

Try disabling other plugins to see if it works. I have vB 3.7.3 and vBShout Pro 2.5.1 and experience no issues.

I get everything a "Loading..." textg into the shoutbox and if u entry a text I get the message "Wait will the previous entry is showed.." or whatever.

^^ it uses the same exact smileys as your forum. It uses whatever code you've chosen. You manage smileys via admincp. You enable smileys via the shoutbox admincp as well.

I would probablly make a new vB Page, theres an article on how to do that. Then add a new template with just the <shoutbox> itself appearing.

Been using this for months, and then I started having users complaining of slow load times on the forum.

I can tell you how to have it run as a second hidden Chatbox on it's own page, but not in a specific forum.

For my main chat, I use Cyb's Chatbox (I don't know if this will work with others, but it should.)

Then, I utilized this Mod :https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=62164&highlight=powered+page
Using the title 'staffchat' for everything.

I then pasted the
<!--{%SHOUTBOX%}-->into the staffchat template & directed the Inferno shout to run only on the staffchat script.
Then I banned everyone but the staff from the Inferno shout. And Hid it from all but the staff as well.


I threw a link into the navbar like so:

Voila! Hidden second Chatbox for your staff.

I have Inferno vBShout Pro 2.5.1 installed and after a while the shoutbox shows a strange message:

Loading ...

I tried to refresh the page a couple of times, optimize the database and ... still the same message appeared.

At the end I use /prune command to make it work again.

I've been using Inferno vBShout for some time (at least 6month) and never had problems like this before.

I think It could be a problem between vBShout and vbulletin version 3.7.4 ( with other 3.7.x version I haven't had this problem)

Is there anyone going to make an inferno vbshout for the newer versions of vBulletin? This is obviously the most popular chatbox in vbulletin by far. I have seen a ton of sites, including my own using this and it hasn't been udpated for months. The only thing i don't like about cyb chatbox is no idle feature so its eats up server load and the look of it. As i know many are wondering, is another coder going to pick up this project or one similar? I think the chatbox is the most important mod for many forums.

but i dont know where add the table code

where the hell can I edit the script for "replied to the thread" as for some reason mine links to the wrong URL (misses off /forum - a common problem I have with vba cmps.)

if I can find where, in what script/template? it links to this - I can just add the /forum in manually to fix. (i assume)

any ideas?

i liked this shoutbox but can no longer use it dont work right on 3 8 2

AS FOR THE PEOPLE ASKING

there will not be an update for this shout box (most likely) as the coder is long gone so is his site so yea if u want it your prob gonna have to make it work yaself

in vb option all there is one choosen called

Shouts To Display = 20

Select the number of shouts you wish to display within the shoutbox, the higher this number, the more intensive the shoutbox may be on your server.

it is set 20 . can i know this mean when more than 20 users ative in chat box willnot appear them or this the reason appear some times ur shouts failed ?

and what best number i can do if i have more users in chat box ?
