I think you can just try replacing all files, i don't think he touched the database in this upgrade.

Hehe. I'm sure right now users are more concerned which it just working. However, i can see where it may be a problem when you're making an add on :p. Hopefully it goes well. PM me, i'd like to know what you're adding.

I dont know if this has been asked before but this is my scenario.

I installed it fine and the system was doing great then suddenly one day my points basically tripled for every member.

Does this have something to do with the 'paychecks' and if so what is the paycheck?

I'm sorry to be a bother (i realize a lot of work has gone into this!), but it seems no usergroup is *really* allowed to purchase any items in the shop... I've changed the allowed usergroups and have updated in mass.. but to no avail. I've seen other people who have had the same problem where they don't see "[Buy]", and I think it's the same issue..

i had this issue before, but after i upgraded to beta 2.0, the problem has disappeared.

but i still have problem with modifying/adding new categories in ushop.
no matter what, it returns an error saying "You may not leave the name fields blank".

I just notice that the bank will only be use once. It will not let u reenter again. It will take you to a message.

Those were errors from the old files. Re download the zip posted at the TOP of this thread (the first post) and overwrite the files. No need to go through the installation process again. Just upload files.

Very thorough directions and they work with fixing "Points: (Donate)". Thanks for being so straight-forward! :squareeyed: Lord knows I didn't want to do something silly and have to manually drop tables and reinstall!

And for people having trouble with and usergroup permissions, you should probably [b]not use "Update in Mass" under uShop. It doesn't work at all for me. If you individually edit every item for usergroup permissions (make sure you're checking off groups under Allowed and not Denied), then it should work just fine.

Just add i believe it's $userinfo[usertitle] to the template wherever you'd like.

Edit: Never Mind I am an idiot! - I changed the name of the field in the settings screen from ucash to bitbucks, and it fubared it.... I used the term "bitbucks" back in the store hack that Lesane did, and my members were familar wih the term.. *sheesh*

And it DID say ~Only modify this if you know what you are doing!~

Ok sports fans, I too have this error.

1) Verified I had the latest download - vB3.5.3_uShop_uCash_v2.00 from the top of this thread

2) Verified each .php script was uploaded to the correct directories

3) Checked the permissions on each folder and script associated with ushop/ucash (755)

4) Installer ran cleanly - No ugly messages/errors

5) Template Updates applied just fine...

6) Ushop/Ucash Options in the admincp settings works ok..

I am using a patched version of VB 3.5.0 that was supposed to make it same-same as 3.5.3...

Any Ideas? - It's got to be somethig dumb I did, I know...

Try just deleting all instances of ushop and ucash from your db and then re install. It sounds like you just messed up during the install.

I'm wondering the same thing. I have installed this on a test board several times with no problems. My only guess it that users are using old zips, doing something wrong, or have already tried installing from previous versions and had an error.

Yeh, I reimported the xml file and it says the file is version BETA 1, but shouldn't it be BETA 2? I redownloaded twice from here now, it's still the _old_ version. *confused*

It could just be that Revan forgot to rename it. However, it could also be that you have the old ushop on your computer still and it's not updating when you extract the zip. This would explain your errors.

How can I change the setting for the thief option that determines wether a person fails or wins. I found the settings in the actions.thief.php but I'm not sure how to change them. No one on my board is winning. lol

Also I it takes the poits from the one stealing when they lose. But I thought it gave those points to the target. Am I wrong about this? Or do I have to set that up in the options?

If you can code the action for the points for custom sig then that would be an easy.

Now I am having problems with my admincp but in the previous version of uShop you had the ability to set the "quantity" of items. It's highly liable that alot of people are donating to eachother. So I would set donations to "-1" To put it in an infinite loop. Mainly because it's a negative interger and negative intergers are hard to actually get to because do to technicalities "They don't really exist".

Coding the action.customsig.php should be easy but would require you research useage of the database table usertextfield and the signature row.

the url to the uShop admin is ushop_admin.php. I would download the new stuff as they normally are recommending. XD I am customer service on this and I am not even on their staff. But it's most likely a problem with the cpnav_ucs.xml in the includes directory. It's outdated. Download the new files and they. Don't worry about reinstalling if everything is working fine.

I am getting the feeling after looking around ushop and ucash, that it is not properly installed or something, because you cant donate, buy items or anything. Any thoughts? When i do click on donate it opens a window with this message "There are none of this item left!". I really need help.

These errors should be fixed by the next release. Remember guys this is a Beta. Meaning we are on the showroom floor with a hot sexy no car that might not have an engine. So We should ask for a Bug Reporting Address. Now in my case. (Do only if you know what you are doing.) I used the mysql queries in the mysql_schema.php for uShop. If you only add uCash 1.1.0 or 1.1.0 it will completely miss a few steps because it thinks you already have them. Now the missing information will be:

Pretty big chunk huh? But I am looking over some of the issues after that. uCash will work perfectly for you. Hold off uShop because if yours is all messed up they you will get the "ushop_act" related errors like me. And this is where the staff steps in.

Well, I tried to install this on my production board after my test board (which was loaded with a fresh backup from thelive board)... Guess what came back...

I tried to look and see which calls in functions and the admincp/ushop/ushop_admin.. script was calling, but I have been up all night for my real job, and cannot see it right now..

I re-uploaded the product_ucs.xml several times with the re-write option on... No joy.....The only thing I hadn't done yet was update my templates, as I wanted to do all my settings and permissions before I did the template updates...

There isnt a table caled ushop_act It's ushop_action

ushop_act is a field added to the datastore table, it appears, if one examines functions_ushop.php and global_ushop.php in the includes folder ..

I have also re-uploaded all the files again, as well. No Joy.

Hm, that will be a tough nut to debug.
I will try my very best to fix it, though it won't be able to make it into Beta 2.

It seems as though the store is making vB read from a diffrent directorey then what is set to in vB options.

Acording to Steve @ VB.com it was uploading avatars to /tmp_upload and not the /temp dir set in vb options.

It seems as though the store is making vB read from a diffrent directorey then what is set to in vB options.

Acording to Steve @ VB.com it was uploading avatars to /tmp_upload and not the /temp dir set in vb options.EDIT: Wait, this means its a server config error and not the uCS hack's fault? o.o

For now, you can hotfix this by hitting "Save Values" on whatever page you recieve these errors, or add a dummy Action.

When I Add points to an account through the forum as administrator, it goes through the confirm and I confirm and it says points successfully added to account. However, then you check the points in the account and there is no change.

Also, when I add points to the bank, for example an account has 22 points, I add them all to the bank, then the reply is:

Welcome to the bank. You currently have 22 points in the bank, last updated on Today at 03:02 PM. You currently have 22 points in your pocket.

But, then check the Bank it still says there are 0 points in the bank. However, under my no Avatar icon it says:

Points: 22
Points In Bank: 22

Any ideas?

one suggestion for point earning:

right now, i set the point per post as 1.00 + 0.01 * N (where N= number of characters in the post). this point calculation can be exploited as members can simply post arbitrarily long content. so it would be nice if we could set a limit on the points one can earn from a single post. e.g., min (1.00 + 0.01 * N, M), where M is predefined maximum point limit. so no one can earn more than M points per post however long the post is.

You may not leave Name field blank error on uCS Add Category pages fixed.
Buy Forum Password has been debugged.
Buy Forum Access has been debugged.
Give Forum Access has been debugged.
Deny Forum Access have been debugged.
"You do not have enough points..." message shown incorrectly has been remedied.
Thief action on self did not yield proper error message.

That looks perfectly fine, it's how it SHOULD look. As I stated before.
It does not look perfectly fine, and that is not how it should look. It's my board, I wrote the code, and every tag is closed properly in the template I created. This means there is a fallacy in the code, like a table that isn't ended or whatever it might be... I didn't write this. I'd validate with W3C, but, quite obviously... it shouldn't have access to ushop.php. Since I'm not stupid, I understood how an uneven amount of categories would have messed things up, but... even after amending that issue it's still there. That sends up a red flag for me personally, but y'know... wuteva :]

I'm also still having the issue with Usergroup Editor with Secondary Usergroup. When I try to add a usergroup, it simply takes me to add a new category. :speechless:

I found out earlier that if one disables the product_ucs under ACP/Manage Products, the admin CP options for UCash and Ushop disappear from the admin CP (and imho, it oughta work dat way too :) ) .

Make sure it's(the product) not disabled, or, the product_ucs imported ok... With beta 2, I had to import the product_ucs twice to get it working on my test board...

Hey, I had the same problem. All you need to do is manually install the '/installer/hacks/ucs/product-ucs.xml' using 'Add/Import' function of 'Manage Products'. Make sure you select 'Yes' on 'Allow Overwrite'

Otherwise I just did it and it ran allmost like a charm.
I have Ucash installed and did the upgrade and it failed on the last step (step 5).
Well I didn't bother so much and did the edits and all and it works ... allmost again ...

Some items are not choosable for my members and me (change users title for one).
And I would like as many more to know how do I easiest reset the members Points ... since after the upgrade everyone got 20 TRILLION :speechless:

Yep, i clicked on the link provided by the inbuilt FTP program. But one would seem to notice that it does not appear to be uploaded, yet i can assure you that it is.

Try closing the FTP program, reopnening.

when i got to install this on my forum i get the following error after going to the /installer/index.php:

You have uShop 0.95 installed, but not uCash 1.1.0, upgrade will not proceed.
You need to install uCash 1.1.0 or uninstall uShop 0.95.

Error in upgrade.

It gave an sql error so I uninstalled again, installed 1.0.something again (via products) and now when I install 2.0 it gives an sql error on step 2 I think

I was wondered if I had to open all the maps (the yellow ting, maybe you call it "tasks"?) when I uppload it to my forum.. But I dont think so? Still, none of the links are working.
