if you cant upload... make sure you go to your ftp and chmod the folders that the instructions are asking you to 777.... that might help.....

Answers to what? You did something wrong. It works fine for my installation in both IE7 and Firefox.

If you have problems getting to your gallery, delete your cookies & temp net files. A few of my members had the double login problem, It works if you clean your pc.

Does it auto-rezsize member's images?

Also, because of the whole uploading images thing (and the maybe resizing images), how server intensive is it please?

I just installed this mod to the T.

The functionality is perfect. The problem is all my style images are broken. Such as the images that make up my navbar and header.

it's very easy to install this :)
firstable you've got to open the config.php file inside the Photplog folder, this is the path: PhotoPlog_2.0.6/photoplog/config.php
you must insert in this file the full path of Forum rooth folder on your site: it should be something like this:

'/home/-------/public_html/forum'

where ----- is the username you use to access to your site.

then you must upload via ftp all the files included the following 2 folders:

- upload the folder "photoplog" as it is in the root folder of YOUR FORUM
- upload all the files inside the "forum" folder (of this mod) in the Forum subdirectories (of your server). for example, in the "forum" folder inside the zip file of this mod you find the "admincp" folder. it means that you must upload all the files inside that folder to the "admincp" folder of your Forum folder

after that you must Set 777 permissions on the photoplog 'images' directory (path: forum/photoplog/images) on your server, as necessary.

then in the "products" folder of this mod you should find (obviously in the vB3.6 sub-folder)
the photoplog-products.xml file. you must upload this file from your admin panel. just go in --->plugins and product--->manage products-----> click add/import product and upload this file.

eventually refresh your admin panel index page and you should find the Photoplog menu.

that's all

firstable you must enable the gallery an set it's permission in the menu on your admin cp.

you should find your Photoplog gallery here: http://www.cobaltcoupe.net/forums/photoplog/index.php

I've just checked but it gives me an error page. very probably you have put the wrong path in the config file. your Forum rooth folder is named "forums" (I've just cheked) so you must put in the config file
'/home/-------/public_html/forums'
edit this file and reupload it on the right folder

when you will fix this you will be able to see your gallery


in order to add a link to the navbar you must go in your admin panel, to the "navbar" template: so, in your admin panel just click Style Templates---->Style Manager-----> click on the icon near the red arrow of this image:

Yes, certainly.

This mod is a photogallery add-on for vBulletin.

It installed without issue and works perfectly fine for me. Running 3.65.

Place image name in Title

Open index.php and find

replace with

Replace PhotoPlog in title with you Forum Name

Open functions.php and find

replace with
$pagetitle = $vbulletin->options['bbtitle']." - ".$photoplog_phrase;

Hi Guys,

Have a problem... hopefully someone can shed some light.

For some reason this mod has not been straight forward. Have installed ibProarcade, Various CYB mods, and Yet another award system...none of these presented ANY problems.


After a whole day I am now at the point where my Forums home page does not show any link in the nave bar - or any way at all to get to photoplog.

I didnt get any errors when importing the XML file.

If I manually enter the URL to the photoplog/index.php file..BAM up it comes, in all its glory :). If I click the Forum home link... the photoplog mod dissapears...with no wa back again???

Also... I tried to see if the functionality of the mod works when going there manually... and it doesnt. I get the following error message when uploading a file:-

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagetypes() in /home/wclangam/public_html/Forums/photoplog/functions.php on line 44

I am about to deinstall this mod... probably something simple... but I have spent countless HOURS on it :(

Would I be able to use this to create an adult related gallery, in our public gallery?

Let's say I have a public gallery, open to everyone, and the main aim / focus of the gallery is to introduce new models & photographers to the market.

So, everyone can upload photos, but only to the specified galleries, and only once they have registered.
New registrations can only upload 20 photos. User can comment on & rather each other's photos, and once a specified rating is achieved, they are able to upload more, say 40, or so.

Now, I need to categorie for semi-nudes, nudes & artistic nudes, but I don't want minor's younger than 18 to browse these galleries. So, everyone still needs to register, but they need to supply their age, and then only people older than 18 should be able to browse the adult galleries.

Can this be done? If so, how?

Is anyone using 3.6.7 and photoplog without issues? Am concerned about Dr Death's problems, can find no mention of compatibility on photoplog site, and do not want to upgrade from 3.6.5 unless I know other 3.6.7 users are OK. If photoplog is currently not compat with 3.6.7, I will use the 3.6.5 security patch instead until it becomes so.

Yeah, the "Wrong MIME Type" message was a clue. Already scratched that one off the list for my moderator that's having problems. I can post the pics that he cannot. We have the same permissions for the gallery, but he receives the error on every upload attempt. Not a huge problem, but I'd rather not have his pics tied to my profile. Kind of defeats the purpose of listing who posted it.

I'm sure I will love this mod, but everytime I click 'upload' it asks me to login again. Once I do, I pick my image, put in the name an description and click 'upload', then it asks me to login again. Basically, it keeps logging me out for some reason, obviously.

Is there any way to get all comments to show up as new post?
If a member comments on another members image, that comment goes unnoticed.

I tried the Update Categories option and selected yes for that but it seems to have only effect if someone edits their own picture by putting in a new title or description. It doesn't help when another member replies....

You have to replace the phrase /full/path/to/forum with the ACTUAL path to your forum.

Of course. These are supposed to be actual paths (directories) on your server.

It should look something like /home/{yoursiteID}/public_html/forum but it will vary from one hosting service to another, depending on how your server is configured.

First of all... awesome mod! This has added a touch of life to my forum. I am having a slight problem though... I am unable to use any of the formatting buttons. Just installed and very happy with it, Than you very much!

The only thing I changed was the code for the links in the navbar template, mine was like this

I was hoping would be able to shed some light.

Whenever I am using WYSIWYG editor, I am unable to post comments because I get the "message too short" message. When I go into standard mode, the problem dissappears. Now here is the thing--if that would be the only thing, I would just add a note telling my users to switch when using the photoplog. However... if a person has the WYSIWYG editor as default, none of the buttons on the editor can be clicked on, including the one that lets you change back and forth between the editors. Does someone have a solution for this?

I have tried logging on to photoplog.com, but, for some reason, it never logs me in although it tells me I have. So any help I can get from here will be greatly appreciated! :)

Here is what I have found out. When I go to usercp and change my editor to standard, I can post comments without any problems. If I also change it to WYSIWYG editor using the toolbar in the message interface, I can still post the comments, although it locks the toolbar and I can no longer go back to standard unless I refresh the page. Now here is the kicker... When I go to usercp and I make WYSIWYG editor my default editor, I get the "too short" message no matter what I do, so there is an obvious link to what editor is set as default and the error message. I would LOVE to post this in photoplog.com, but I cannot log in at all.

At least I now know what is causing this problem... now if only I could get some help in fixing it. ;)

firstable you must enable the gallery an set it's permission in the menu on your admin cp.

you should find your Photoplog gallery here: http://www.cobaltcoupe.net/forums/photoplog/index.php

I've just checked but it gives me an error page. very probably you have put the wrong path in the config file. your Forum rooth folder is named "forums" (I've just cheked) so you must put in the config file
'/home/-------/public_html/forums'
edit this file and reupload it on the right folder

when you will fix this you will be able to see your gallery


in order to add a link to the navbar you must go in your admin panel, to the "navbar" template: so, in your admin panel just click Style Templates---->Style Manager-----> click on the icon near the red arrow of this image:

I installed Photoplug in a subdirectory... it means that when the users go to Photoplog they temporary leave the forum.
In order to give them the chance to go back to the forum home page, even to the newest users, in photoplog_sub_navbar I added this code:

I downloaded photoplog for my vbulletin version 3.6.7 pl1. I can't get it to work.

Can anyone tell me if this is ok for my version? Also if it isn't correct for my version what do you suggest?

If photoplog will work on my version can someone provide me with a link that gives detailed instructions. Perhaps I am not installing it correctly.

I have PhotoPlog Lite v.2.0.6 on my vB3.6.7PL1.
Contribution is my question why the "Who is online" is reported if in this a picture from PhotoPlog is interlinked reads somebody unite that the one is in PhotoPlog as a whereabouts, see Screen?
In the Screen guests are to see, this one have not the slightest rights and link in the forum also watch none get to go purely in PhotoPlog.

Can I change it so that it is not displayed any more that this one sees only an interlinked picture for somebody in a contribution, displayed, is as if it were in PhotoPlog?

Installed this mod today but i've ran into a problem. I can get to mysite.com/photoplog, the main page for photoplog, but the links on the photoplog page do not work (Home, Upload, Search). They are all broken. I know this should be a simple fix, but I cant find the template to edit these links.

Could somone please point me in the right direction?

Need help. I tried reintalling photoplog by uploading all the files and upgrading it from the the product manager.

This is what I got intially

Thumbnails appear in the forum home page but when I click on one of the thumbs it takes me to a blank gallery page with just the usual header and footer.

We have been testing and it seem to work with IE but when using FireFox the log in on every page problem kicks in....

Go to the Usergroup Manager -> Edit Usergroup and set the PhotoPlog permissions for each usergroup. Hopefully that should work (or may be not). Calorie can help you better.

Yeah have done so just for admin and mod's at this point in time to test it out first. So far using IE works fine with not a problem at all but one moderator only uses FireFox and he is having all the trouble in the world.. I've sent him a PM to ask to use IE to see if its a fix or not..

In the "PhotoPlog Link" field you would put the full address of your site, then a slash, and then the word "photoplog". Just like the example shows: "http://www.example.com/photoplog".

So for example if your website is http://www.blablabla.com, then you would put http://www.blablabla.com/photoplog.

I'm not sure what you mean by nothing appears. Do you mean, no menu in the toolbar appears? I can't quite remember, but I think you have to add a gallery link to navbar manually. I might be mistaken, because my skin relocates my navbar information to a different template, so I generally have to add everything manually. But as I recall, that's what you have to do. Or did you mean something else?

I changed the permission of photoplog/images to 777 but the problems still there. Anyone has any idea what this might be?

in the MEMBERINFO template it displays random thumbnails from that user in their profile homepage.

Or were you looking to put a link in the dropdown menu for a user when you click on their username?

are the maybe going on your site with this url: site.com and the gallerylink is www.site.com
and you have allowed your cookies just for www.site.com

I've searched the site high and low, as well as photoplog site. This question has no answer anywhere that I can find.

I've checked VB ACP VB Options, Messaging options, and the minimum chars to post is set to 2.

The comment "THIS PICTURE LOOKS NICE" is well beyond 3 characters. What gives?

1) Why do comments not work in wysiwyg editor mode, but does in standard mode?

2) how can I make the comments work in wysiwyg?

I'd be almost more than happy to upgrade to pro version, but it is unclear if this bug happens in the pro version too!

I added a width of 250, but it might be 240 or 260 for your forum. It depends on the length of your album name. Judging by your attachment i I think 250 is OK.

One more thing.

If you edit only the photoplog_cat_list template you will get this view:


Sub-Categories: Album1 Album2
Album 3 Album 4 Album 5
Album 6 Album 7 Album 8

As you can see Album1 start right after "Sub-Categories:"

I didnt like that since I wanted:

So I had to add 2 "go to next line" html codes (<BR>).

You can enable hotlink protection for the images via your CPanel.

There is a script somewhere that disallows right clicking...I'll search for that too.

I have been running it for months no problem all the sudden no images are visible but they are actually there as files. permissions are set properly and liberally to 777, the only thing that has changed is that my system was updated to php5. If I post a new image I can see it. All previously posted images are not displaying. It seems to be only the thumbnails that do not display.

Hi :o I know I promised that would be my last question but i've come across another problem, I enabled the link in postbit whihc is supposed to link to the users gallery uploads? but I'm getting the error 403 forbidden message after clicking. Guessing I havn't set permissions on a certain file/folder right but which one could it be?

The only way for the Hack to Work is by Disabling the Photoplog Hack in my Forum, that's why I deduced that some Incompatibility is Happening, also by the Error Message and the piece of code that says "COUNT(photoplog_fileuploads.moderate) - SUM(photoplog_fileuploads.moderate),COUNT(photoplo g_fileuploads.moderate)) AS photoplog_filecount" that includes "COUNT" and is related with Photoplog; but this Error only happens when the Chief First Post Hack is Activated and set to Yes in a Forum, so something isn't working, at least in Version 3.6.7 PL1; I hope you could analyze the Error and Orient me in what should I check/change/set for this Hack to work Ok in my Forums!! :confused:

You need to check your chmod settings. Make sure that your images dir in photoplog are set to 777. Not only the images folder, but also all subfolders like 1, 2, large medium... The pictures in those subfolders must be set (back) to chmod 644.

Did you make sure to upload the contents of the "forum" folder (and in the right location)? And if you did, did you refresh/reload the ACP menu?

Its not only your photoplog folder that you have to upload. There is also another folder in the zip file called "forum". When you open "forum" you will find there 2 other folders "includes" and "admincp" (with 3 files). Upload all 3 files to admincp.

You can edit your phrases

Its should be here;

Search for photoplog phrases and replace them into your language of choice.

Im afraid that you have to change a code or two. I have looked into it but I couldnt find a solution.

Disable all other plugins, enable photoplog only. Then you can enable the other plugins one by one till you have found the plugins that screws your photoplog. Vb 3.6.8 + photoplog only and WYSIWYG works fine for sure.

Go to admincp / photoplog / edit templates / and edit your photoplog_cat_list template

Find: <td class="thead" nowrap="nowrap">$vbphrase[photoplog_main_categories]</td>

Replace is with: <td class="thead" width="250 nowrap="nowrap">$vbphrase[photoplog_main_categories]</td>

I added a width of 250, but it might be 240 or 260 for your forum. It depends on the length of your album name. Judging by your attachment i I think 250 is OK.

One more thing.

If you edit only the photoplog_cat_list template you will get this view:

As you can see Album1 start right after "Sub-Categories:"

I didnt like that since I wanted:

So I had to add 2 "go to next line" html codes (<BR>).

Download from your server /photoplog/categery.php

Edit categories.php and find :

\">&nbsp;".$vbphrase['photoplog_sub_categories'].":".$

Replace it with:

\">&nbsp;".$vbphrase['photoplog_sub_categories'].":<BR><BR>".$

Upload it back to your photoplog folder on your servr.

Keep an original copy of catogeries.php in case you screw things up. :D

I told you via PM to reinstall the original photoplog like how it was uploaded in post 1. Then edit your photoplog_cat_list template and /photoplog/categery.php

Once you have done that you should have at the bottom of every page "Powered by PhotoPlog Lite v.2.0.6"


When I checked your forum 15 minutes ago I did not saw Powered by PhotoPlog Lite v.2.0.6 You still have the modified Turkish version ...

Copy and paste that into a wordpad and save it as e.g. test.php
Upload that test.php file into your forum

than type in the browser : www.yoursite.com/forum/test.php
and the forum path should come up
