Disable New Posts for certain forums
How do I disable threads in certain forums from being displayed in the New Posts area?

By using the plugin available in the 3.5 plugins area.

Why don't you look, or use the search, like I would have to to find it for you.

Well I assumed seeing as you suggested I use the plugin you would atleast have a name for it thus making a search far more easier.
And in fact I did trawl through the entire 3.5 Plugins area and found no such plugin, so perhaps you could provide valid information rather than be so rude in the future. But obviously that is too much to ask. |

I don't think this is possible with default vB.

Search ist your friend:
Select the 3 vB 3.5 Release Forums, use "New Posts", "Get New Posts" or smth. like that as keyword - should work. |

As far as I can tell there is no such plugin but I did however find a solution by asking at the official Vbulletin Site.
Go into the navbar template and replace: <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]do=getnew" accesskey="2">$vbphrase[new_posts_nav]</a></td> with: <td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]do=getnew&exclude=X" accesskey="2">$vbphrase[new_posts_nav]</a></td> Where X is the forum id. |

That works
You can alose use the f=X instead of exlucde (or with it) to only get data from a certain forum and subforums |
