Alphabetically Ordered Forums
I am trying to make it so forums will be displayed in numerical order based on the number entered for each, and then if two forums have the same number, instead of ordering by forumid, I want to order by forum name.
My question is, where would I look to find where forum orders are specified when each page loads? I think this would be simple to do, but need to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks for any help. ~007 |

Any idea where this is specified in the code? Thanks.

Anyone? Basically I want to set the order or forum orderig to be first by set order, then assuming two forums have the same order specified, order them alphabetically.
I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks. |

Alphabetically listed forums is something I've wanted to achieve for ages, but alas I have had no success[sp?].

Maybe I am missing something but why not use the same sort order number and have them displayed exactly how you want?

I posted some POC some time ago.

Jenta, it would generally be ok to just use the ordering built in, but when you have a LOT of forums that you are constantly adding to, it gets annoying to have to go throught the whole list and add new orders each time you add a forum.
Andreas, what do you mean by POC? It's late so sorry if I am missing something obvious. |
