Hmm first time i really ASK for a request.. i'd rather not, but oh well

I can't find these.. that doesn't mean that they aren't here, i just searched for a looong loong time but still haven found these 2:

1) Multiple Listbox for Forums In Search.

Let's say i want to search in
vBulletin Announcements,
vBulletin Lite,
HTML Questions and
Site Feedback.

Now i have 2 options: OR do 4 different searches, OR i have to search ALL forums and spit through the results searching for results in forums that i want..

Not so cool is it?

That problem could be solved with an listbox, so you can select with multiple forums you want to search.. and if you select none, you search all forums.

Ok, now on to nr. 2 (for the cp):

2) Template Search & Replace..

I do a new style every week, (cuz i LOVE webdesign), and this way i can't, cuz i'll be busy a week designing the new graphics and layout, and another WEEK on implementing them.

If there was somthing like an search & replace function in the cp, much like the one Windows Notepad uses, that way i could implement a new design in just a day!

Well, does these 2 makes any sense?

Thnx for your time, X-PX

Well, i won't be the first that won't upgrade to 2.0
First of all, it's still beta, and second of all, Not all hacks are in it, and most of the things that are new are totally unnessacery.. atleast, for my board..

Oh well.. just have to live with it i think..

It's beta, but why would you not run it? If you don't need the features turn them off. I think its rather odd to request hacks that are already in place in the new version. Why reinvent the wheel? I've been running the betas as many other people have and I haven't had any problems, that haven't been fixed within a few hours.

Yeah but it's still the thought that it's beta... I'll just wait till the final is done..

Then most likely you will have to wait until it is final to get the hack. Most of the independant hackers have already upgraded to vB2 and will be utilizing its more advanced engine and the ability for easier integration to make hacks.

A multi-select list for forum search would be a great hack and I will probably give it a go. However I will make it for 2.0 and higher.

Okz
Thanks in advance for giving it a shot.

If it's done after 2.0 final comes out, i will upgrade ofcourse.
If it's done before 2.0 final comes out, i don't think i'll have to spend too much time porting it to 1.1.5..

The search engine code in 1.1.5 and 2.0 have the same amount of resemblance as a goldfish and an elephant.

I know, but i'm not scared of making impossible things possible..

So if you release such a thing, for 2.0.0 before the final comes out, you will see me release an adaption of your hack (i'm 95% sure of it ) for 1.1.5... just wait :P
