This may take a hit on bandwith used from all the feeds that people may create to show off their hacks. The idea just echoed in my brain.

Possibly in 3.5

Limit it to the latest 5 hacks, or the 5 hacks with the most installs...

on the topic of rss feeds, why not an rss feeds of new releases
