from webmaster@e-steki.com. It had an infected attachment as well (avast stopped it before I got to the message). Also, we don't have such an account (webmaster@e-steki.com) and we don't sell anything so we don't have "customers"! I opened a thread in my forum to ask if other members got the same message but none answered so far.
Any ideas of what might have happened???
Yes, but it only came to me or to other members too? I mean, does it have something to do with my forum or not and it just "grabbed" the fact that my mail is @e-steki.com?
One membe that answered the thread so far said he didn't receive anything like that.
Τhat's what I came to, when I calmed down. But I was panicked when I saw it!!
Thanks for your reply!
That's an old spam trick. They use webmaster at domain name on all of them like that. I used to get them all the time. They are mass-mailed and nothing to worry about as long as you don't open the attachment. And even then it would only affect your computer that you opened it on. Not the site. You'll probably see a few more of them from time to time.
And what happens if somebody opens the attachment?
Then they might get infected with something. Just post something on your site stating that any emails from your site would NOT have any attachemnts with it and if anyone egst an email with attachments, to report it to you and not open the attachment. Chances are you are one of the few from your site that are even getting them.
