How do I remove the Last Post column?
I'd really like to remove the "Last Post" table from the forum index, forumdisplay, and showthread pages.
Before I start, I'd really like some advice as to whether there are any special considerations I need to take on board first. Is the code modication really going to be that simple? I'm feeling a little hesitant to even begin this as it seems a pretty major act of editing. |

Simple fix. Copy the style so that you have a copy of your original style. Make the modifications and then test it if it works fine then no need to revert back to the saved style. That's my suggestion.

I'm afraid I don't know how to copy the style template, nor am I even sure how to remove the "Last Post" column safely from the various templates. Is there an existing guide on making this sort of modification?

Any suggestions most welcome. Or should I now repost this question on the new 3.5 Template modifications board?

Thanks for the reply, ozmazdaclub, but add new style simply creates a new copy of my template - I don't see any option to customise the table layout.
I've tried a couple of times to remove the "Last Post" column but no success so far. Any pointers by anybody would be much appreciated. |
