Moderators can edit users
It would be nice if someone could make/port a hack that allows an admin to set permissions allowing mods to edit some, or all, fields in a member's account from the modcp.
Sort of like this vb2 hack by Xenon: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=42096 This is useful for forums like mine who let their mods change some fields but not others. (i.e. can edit custom usergroups and usertitles, but not username or email address). |

Xenon told me in a pm that he doesn't plan to convert his vb2 hack, so if someone else wants to make something similar I'm sure there would be lots of people who would like to have it.

I don't think there is a hack for 3.5 that allows this yet, but what you could do is give the moderator limited admin (the ability to edit users), and have the administrator group show up as a second usergroup (so the mod still looks like a mod). The downside is you won't be able to control what profile fields the mod can or cannot edit.

I want moderators to give permissions for Users Awaiting Moderation group, from the modcp.
Is there a hack for that? |

We want moderators to be able to change users' usergroups... not only names. |
