I know there are a lot of hacks to resize large images. I heard that this is stressfull for the server.
I was wondering if it's possible to reject large images. Example: The max size of an image on my board is 700px. If a user wants to link an image from another location that is 1000px it gives an error message. Is this possible and would this option be less stressfull for the server? |

There are some PHP.net functions to get the image size of an image - You could then just reject the image if it exceeds the dimensions you specify
