database error while uploading attachements

I get database errors while uploading anything jpg or wmv or zip id they are bigger then 600kb or so

Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Problem with your mySQL Sever/Configuration ... Timeout? Packetsize?

Yes i don't know much about databases. So i'll have to ask my Provider what's wrong i guess
