Im curious to find out what people think of my design: http://www.programmersforums.com I'd like to know why I have a hard time keeping members really... I've gotten mixed comments about the theme and would like some opinions or some tips maybe on keeping members or starting on a new design.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the theme.

It takes a little while for any board to take off - unless you're borrowing or stealing members from an existing board

You might consider hiding empty forums until someone asks for them, busy forums get spidered better and attract more users.

I'm sure you'll get more advice on building a busy forum, but personally, I don't think it's your theme.

I was expecting something hideous... I was releived when i saw it.

It looks good, most sites take a while to really get going, one thing I did notice though is speed (maybe just unlucky timing, who knows).

As has already been mentioned, a good site takes a while to get going. Patience, LOTS of patience is required. The design is OK.

Yeah what they said, its a nice looking skin! Very clean and not over the top, which I think suits the forum, since it is a programmers forum

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I liked my site theme from the start but didn't know if anyone else really did.

Is there anything that i should add/fix/update? Theres always been those rare few forums that always have that skin that just MAKE you wanna sign up lol. I was hoping mine could be that but meh. I can't help the speed, im hosted at http://www.freepgs.com as a monthly bill would drain my expenses *I work at Taco Bell lol* But i'd like to know if theres anything I should do in your guys' opinions

..I also saw my Color Legend hack on there xD, I love that

The theme is simple and nice. I think you could do more with the header image though, it's too simple for the style.
