PM warning disabled but it still warns · **Released**: 08-22-2005

Hello,

I just installed AWS 3.4.15. I have set "Use Automatic Warnings from Private Messages?" to NO, but my users are still warned for their PM messages.

Any ideas?

Check the changes made in private.php. Last time I saw this, the user had entered somewhere in there, the term warn_automatic instead of warn_automaticpm. Since he had the Automatic Warnings from Posts set to Yes, and in private.php he was checking the wrong parameter, his users got warned. There should be a mistake in your private.php file.
