I have noticed that about 95% of the button sets released are from a long time ago and are for vb2. Why has almost no one released button sets for vb3?

i dont see why though. there is still a huge community of vb board owners. IPB doesn't seem to have trouble in that area, not that I like IPB over vB or anything.
