what do you do to ... ?
increase user activity in your forum?
like i have this forum with several hundred users, on avergage 50 members visit everyday BUT only 2 or 3 members post!! most just read posts but don't post! how do you tackle it? I mean i thought of the so called "[hide][/hide]" tags but its not available for vbulletin 3.5. that way they must reply to see the content, but since its not available, what else can be done to increase posting activity? thanks. |

Chances are that if there's nothing interesting in the posts they CAN see, they're not going to care much about the ones they can't see.
I suggest you go through and rething your topics. Also, give your users a little more functionality in your forum than just posting. |

I just visited your forums, and the first thread I saw was

To be honest that made ME wanna join, so at least your topics are interesting. Jugo is right, I think you need to set up some promotions, maybe install an arcade (when it's available), and only allow users to play is they have x posts. Give them some motivation to post. P.S.- Sorry to the mods if the quote isn't suited for this site, take it down if need be. |
