Left column on select pages without having to put code in header and footer?
I have done some searching but havent found exactly what I am looking for. I was hoping maybe I missed it and someone could point me in the right direction.
What I want to be able to do is selectively put a left column ad bar on pages, but I still want the navbar to span the whole width of the page. For example, I would like one on forumhome, showthread, forumdisplay, but not on pages like the user cp, etc. Just the high traffic areas really. Any help would be much appreciated! |

You can put the code for the top of the sidebar table at the bottom of the navbar template instead of the bottom of the header template.
This makes the navbar span the page, but gives you a column down the side on every page. |

Hi Amy,
Thanks for the info. I am running vbadvanced and was concerned that it would show up there too...... I would love these ad banners on every page, but dont want them on my vbadvanced pages. I think you mentioned in your other thread that there may be a conditional for this? Ill have to go check that one out. Thanks |

Yes, it would, depending on where you put the code for the sidebars.
