update references to vbulletintemplates.com
I am sure that this is on the list of things to do, but in case it isn't, despite the merge I have been noticing a lot of unchanged references to post template mods at vbulletintemplates.com in places that have announcements and posting info, such as this:
Code:

Yea, I agree..but it would be a pain to go through and change a majority of vBt links..I am sure there are alot on here.

Well technically it could be done. Changing the url, could be done with a simple SQL-statement. Problem is only that the threadid/postid's have changed. Since ImpEx also stores the original id in a seperate column it could technically also be done, but would be a lot of work.

We would have to go over each post and look for a list of vBt id's, then convert the url to vb.org with the correct .org id. Not fun , even with SQL. |

Alternative would be to hack the board, use new id variables (ie. vbtt= instead of t=) when replacing the urls, and then lookup this id in the imported_id column instead of the original.

changing the references to the posts would be a bonus, but what I was referring to was simply the announcements that refer to the templates site as being a separate entity and community. Now that the 2 sites have merged it would be nice to show a little more unity, rather than confuse people by making them think that the community is still divided in two. I think that the merger was a great idea- there is no need to separate them since it is all about modding vbulletin - but the "PLEASE READ FIRST BEFORE POSTING" notices in the release forums all state that templates should be posted on the other site, which doesn't exist anymore. As I said- changing the links would be a bonus, but how about starting with the easier things first?

Think of it this way - they'll be directed to vbulletintemplates.com, and then back here due to the closed message posted on the forum.

So they'll try to go back to the the thread and click on it again? then it will take them to vBT.... so they will come back here and click on it again.... omg a vicous cycle of clicking!
