colored events in calendar

red for picnics
blue for skydives
green for turtles races
ect ect..

thoughts?

when i was using phpBB i purchased a calendar software called CalendarPro from www.SnailSource.com

they allowed you to creat a bunch of categories and assign colors to them very easily...

here's a screenshot of my old calendar to give you guys an idea.

the software also display a small legend to explain what colors meant what categories etc.
