Ideal for something rather than banning
I would like for my supers not have the ability to ban but rather give them the ability of taking away members posting features.
That way a admin can view the trouble makers and see if they need banned or just warned or whatever. Is this possible? Larry |

Just create a new usergroup with no permissions and call it "Admin banned" - don't set the "is banable" group option on it. Then alter the permissions of the existing banned group so that all it does is stop members posting. Then your mods can only ban people into that group - while admins can move them into the admin banned group.

Or you could setup a moderation usergroup.
The mods then put the member into that usergroup where the user can still view the board and post but posts will be moderated before being seen on the forum. That's what we do with trouble makers. |
