upload procedure

i am a newbie at this. sorry for this simple questions!

how do i upload a new styles or skin? is it the same?

there must be a tutorial here somewhere...please point me to them!

or if there isnt one...some kind soul might help me out :desperate:

First off, upload all the image files to the "Images" section of your server. Then go to Admincp> Styles & templates> Download/Upload styles. Choose to upload the XML file from your computer, or enter the path from your server.

Create new style> ignore style version> (it will ignore what version it was meant for) Click "Import"

After it installs, you'll need to go in and change the path to all the images so they match where they are on your server.

To do that, go to Admincp> Style Manager> Now click the "Go" button on the style you just uploaded. From there, scroll down to the "Image Paths" part and edit the file paths.

You should be golden. Depending on the style, you may need to edit a few other paths, but give that a whirl first to see if that gets you where you need to be.

hi im new to all this realy... ihave got VB install and VBindex.

i just did as you said to install and it works ok onthe forum but vbindex shows a blank page

That is probably because the style wasn't designed around VBindex.
