I was just wondering if anyone else thought this might work.

I want to have an extra field for each new thread in a certain forum. Do you think I have use those If statements that appear in the templates to make this happen?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have not done alot of testing with the new <if> and <else /> tags but im pretty sure they do not accept php code other then var's defined in the .php files (as in updating the database).
