I was trying to install a Dreammaker on vb3 and it wants the style as a .xml or something. Is there a .style to .xml converter or compiler? Can I use the old .style files? Where do I get .xml templates?

you would have to make a new style from scratch

vB2 styles are imcompatible with vB3 completely rewritten template system. You would have to remake the style with the new system and the new variables or build one from scratch.
