Get the vB3 Beta, and the readme.html file inside will tell you how to upgrade.

THAT **** ME OVER! I uploaded the files over old ones, then nothing worked, so I deleted my old forums, cleared database, and edited config.php.new. Now it works, but I lost everything

You should really read the readme when dealing with something so big.
No such thing as too much precaution. |

And you have to delete the vB2 files before you upload the vB3 files... as it says in the readme...

If upgrading from vB2, do the following: 1) Backup your vB2 Database. 2) Delete all vB2 Files (NOT DATABASE!) 3) Upload all vB3 Files 4) Run http://yourdomain.com/forums/install/upgrade.php and follow the steps. As you see, what you did, was completely wrong. |
