Default Loo-Portal updates!
After a while away from the net ive decided to finish this project and release it.

I will have a lite version ready for release early to late next week, and a full version to fallow sometime after.

The Lite version will basicly be a hackless homepage for your forum, think vBhome lite or vBindex. The full version will be more like vBportal.

Currently there are only a few things to finish in the lite version, Admin cp intergration, some template updates (php is prased in all templates ) and some code optimizing.

Hey guys, i know its taking alot longer then expected to get this out, but i am still working on it as much as i can . Im off work tomorrow and friday and i sould get alot done.



Some Beta Development updates:

Admin cp intergration with vBulletin is done, every option will be editable from the vBulletin admin cp options page.

News script is compleated but still begin optimized.

Ive decided not to allow php code prasing in the templates for now, however I will look into it again once my code is deemed stable.

Independant global.php file is compleated, however mine is named core.php. File still needs some work but is stable enof for the beta's.

Some Querys need to be optimized in all files.

What needs to be done before release:

- Write and test cache system.
-- will help to reduce querys and server load

- Add polls // may not make it into frist beta

What is Loo-portal lite/Loo-Portal?

Loo-Portal lite can be easyly compared to vBhome (lite) or vBindex. However Loo-Portal lite dose not require hacking your vBulletin in anyway, this means that you can still recive support from jelsoft, but still have a portal.

Now im in no way saying that my work will be better then that of TECK's or anyone else, If it wasent for such hacks as vBhome I probbly wouldent have attempted to write this script.

After loo-portal lite is released i plan to start work on my CMS add-on for vB. But that wont be released until after vB 3 is in my hand .

Development plans for Loo-Portal lite after beta release

- Add Artical system

- Gallery // probbly released this as a seprate paid modual

- Anything thats requested

Does sound very good, idea of this all being in a non-hacked portal sounds great.

No, that would be crazy. Loo-Portal runs from its own files and uses a few of vBulletins files to connect to the database and allow me to use vB functions. ATM the only vB files im even including are functions.php,sessions.php, and db_mysql.php.
