I want to make a private website forum that when any user goes to the main forum page and isn't logged in, they just see a note like "this is a private area, please login or if you have been invited then register below" and have the log in info. No menus, nothing else shoudl show. If they are logged in with cookie its the regular forum home. Is this possible?

I'd like to be able to do this same thing. Does anyone have an answer or is it just not possible?

Thanks! I'll ask over at the hacks forum as well...just to be sure. I need something ASAP, so I'm hoping there's something out there that's already done.
