Why should I?

I was looking at switching to vb, but then again, why should?
I have to pay alot of money every year, and it still advertises itself on my forum, are there any reasons to switch?

You do not have to pay every year to keep running vBulletin on your server, however you must pay $30 every year to keep your member area access so you can download the latest versions.

Leased license:

You must pay $80 every year to keep running vBulletin on your server and keep members area access.

You would honestly be a fool not too The board is great alty29, with updates constantly and tons of hacks.

i would get owned licnese . insted of lease...

if i am going to run a forum for about 4 year or more
