CSS vs. Photoshop
So, I'm making a web-site for myself. The upper text and gradient is made in Photoshop, the lower one is made with the blur effet and is a text. It's Cyrillic (Windows) page. What do you think about - do they look at least similiar.
The next problem. How to make the same mouseover effect on the text, as it is in the upper part, made with Photoshop? The demo link |

Why blur it? It gives me a headache; I think you mean you want it antialiased, in which case you'd have to do it graphically because there's no surefire way of getting it right with CSS.

Why headache - it looks allmost the same, or not ... because not always gif with antialiasing is the best solution, sometimes you need dynamic text and than it's time for CSS?!

To get the effect. Do you do not like it? It looks just perfect for me. You know.

Just let the OS do the antialiasing, or make it an image. Blurring something with CSS is not only not supported in most browsers but (no offense) hideous.

Internet Explorer 5.x and up is the most used browser, so there is no problem with that. What do you use? Opera, Mozilla?
I've always used IE, it's the best and most user friendly, it's sad, that under UNIX we have only Netscape (which is the second best). All the others are just for girls. |

That's very arrogant. Safari is probably the most popular browser for OS X now, and Mozilla is the most popular for non-Windows platforms.

Ok, tell me please something about that Saferi, never heard of that.
And shy Mozilla? Only a maximum of 10% users use it and - it's really no good, or?! All the CSS is missreproduced and not only that. |
