I'd like some opinions from non users of my site. What do you think of my latest incarnation?

It's not heavily modified but still.

Not bad, don't like how there's no space between the forum table and outer borders. The color scheme is okay though.

Thanks for your opinion. I originally pulled the tables 100% because my first version had the forum centered at 600pixels wide and I wanted to get the most space out of those 600 pixels. So I pulled out the moderator column and the ratings colum and all the margins.

I haven't changed it back because I have a couple members who even now are saying the text area isn't big enough with the table on the left side. They must be viewing the site at 640X480 or something.

Just code it for 800 X 600 or 1024 X 768. You can't always please all resolutions.

it is VERY basic. and i mean VERY. its really just color modifications, but they are done somewhat nicely. the color scheme could use work though?

Maybe some more variety in the colors, but it aint bad.

hi i think you might want to put an index page of somesort in the root of your site. have a look at the picky to see what i mean...

Yeah, adding an index would be nice. At bare minimum just put a page that has a link to your forums.

Or you can just upload a index.html with a re-direct link. Or just a black index.html to hide that page.

Thanks guys. Sorry I didn't visit this thread for a while. Thanks for pointing out that there was no index page.

The thing is the site itself is located at visionengine.com while the board is located at ve.roxics.com. So once you're on the board everything points to the visionengine.com url. But yeah I'll throw an index page in tehre for good measure.

Personally I was unsure of the color scheme myself. I still am. I just haven't had any time to play around with a new one yet. maybe tonight. Blue-white-silver always seems to please the crowd so perhaps something along that line.
