The postbit layout is just too nice, i was wondering if there were any similar templates to this or equally nice examples with the same feel.

Don't think there are. Just search through the Postbit release topics for anything you like.

i shall do, there is just so many and it all seems a bit much as im new to all this !

IS this one postbit template you would recommend or is very popular ? I only need one, lol.

Most good full templates/styles are not free as they take time to do, there are a few styles available in the database here at vBulletinTemplates, although none of them look like PixelJunction.com's style.

are there any tutorials online to guide your personal creations ?

I can write html and can make graphics so its really just the layout i need to create then customise myself.

You have all the skills you need to edit your templates though. To help you just create a style in a image program. Then code in the tables and cut out the necessery buttons needed for that template.
