This is the idea i came up with for my site last night. as some of you may know kousetsu dosent have a main site up as of yet.

Anyway heres what i was thinking of doing. spliting my site over 3 sub-domains, each would be a site of its own. one for our warcraft 3 clan (currently in a hidden forum), one for fanart, the other for anime stuff. Each "site" will be powered by a custom coded portal running from the vbulletin database.

On the forum side everything would be split up acording to site's. ill explane.

basicly when you load the forum you will be presented with two sections. one will be a "General" section that will host most of the forums that do not apply to the sites in anyway. Below it will be a "specality" section hosting all the forums releated to the sites.

in your user cp you will be able to select betwwen 3 usergroups, each for a site. and this would be displayed int he postbit.

so how do you think this would go over with members?. sould i can this idea and just make one site?. thanks

Sounds like something we are to do with KSF. We're having a seperate licence for each forum, and just use the main page we have now to link to the main page of that section. The admin there would have full power so it wouldn't be like what we have now with it confined in one forum.

very interesting anime loo, if my clan expands into a dod clan too (aside from cs) then this could be an option for me

They way im looking to do it will require alot of hacking in the core .php files of vBulletin. ill let you guys know how it gose once its all up and running

The only modyfying needed is to link the forum links to the actual forum instead of a link but I've seen that on some forums so there must be a mod or just quite easy..

BTW this was for the simple way I thought of. o_O

It is not a VB3 engine, just a parsed copy!
