How do you change the ID of a forum topic?

I tryed to set them up for my vBportal but it will not work without the correct forum ID.

I deleted all of my topics andstarted over, but it restarted at an ID of 9.

Can anybody help me?

And you shouldn't. I'm thinking it's dangerous because posts are identified by number of posts and how many posts are in that actual topic.

It's best to ask this at vB.com since it doesn't concern any template or hacks it's the default software.
