I am new at all of this so I do not know that much. I know how to edit templates from the admin control panel. I was wondering where the templates are stored. When I backup my webpages using an FTP client, are they stored somewhere there or are they stored in my sql database?

just create a backup of the database...im pretty sure...thats what i do

where else? i believe they are storeed in there. take a look with PHPmyADMIN if you really dont believe me

The templates are stored in the database, but are editable from from Admin Control Panel.

In addition you can back up your styles via the admin cp which will have a copy of your templates.
