Why are huge impractical postbits becoming a trend? Xelation is one of the least user-friendly sites I've seen, but people keep copying it... why?
Your postbit, design-wise, is awesome. You obviously have a talent... but there's no way anyone would want to stay on a site that has a post width of ~300 pixels. |

I'm going to have to agree with plattopus. The postbit from a design perspective is excellent but if your forum has 1,000's of users it'll get old fast. Take a look at the page size of xelation.com threads. Some of the pages are 375 kb PER page. That's outrageous in the end and I personally think that's what has contributed to a VERY slow start for the website.
It's cool and all but way way too big. It should be 160 pixels max (postbit info area). I personally feel as though, its your attempt to razzle & dazzle your visitors by glorifying your website with overly large graphics. I would like it at first but I'll stress the fact that it'll get old fast. |

In terms of design, that's probably one of the best potbit modifications I've seen so far. You obviously know how to design kickass forums, now just make it a little more user-friendly.
