Creating new link class
Im trying to create a new link class so the I can have an alturnative link/hover color.
Ive added this to my headinclude template: .new A:link, .new A:visited, .new A:active { color: #FFFFFF background-color:"#000000"; text-decoration: underline; } .new A:hover { color: #FF4400 background-color: #000000; } This new link class is sposed to be white normally and red when you hover over it. And for example here's a link I would like to change to my "new" class from the forumhome template: Welcome to our newest member, <a href="member.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=getinfo&userid=$newuserid"><class="new" > $newusername</a></class> It doesant work. Can anyone see why? |

Thanks xdam,
I tryed it but had to take out the style tags as it came up with an error when going to the home page. I thought Id better put .new at the start as well so that the class referance in the link code would work. Dunno if i was right to do that. I added this to my headinclude template: .new a:link { text-decoration: none; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: #000000; } .new a:active { text-decoration: none; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: #000000; } .new a:visited { text-decoration: none; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: #000000; } .new a:hover { text-decoration: none; color: #FF4400; background-color: #000000; } And I used the following for one of the link's I want to be differant: Welcome to our newest member, <class= "new"><a href="member.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=getinfo&userid=$newuserid"> $newusername</a></class> It didnt work I have tryed everything I can think of and nothing works. Ive spent hours. If anyone can figure this out I would gladly skip around them and shower them with confetti. |

Have you tried including the class in the <a href> tag? In other words <a class="new" href="foo.com">
