Attachments NOT downloading completly HELP!

hi guys,

I have a little problem. On my forums I have it setup so users can upload files up to 50 megs. for example music and video files. The users can upload the files just fine but when downloading the files most of them seem to only download 16.8 megs of the file and nothing else after that. Anyone know what this problem could be?

what do I need to edit to fix this problem? I also have added the mine types in the attachement section of the control panel but that didn't seem to help.

I also read a post that you can edit something in the attachment.php ..

"The only thing I can suggest is changing attachment.php to echo the filedata in chunks, rather than the whole thing at once."

Anyone know how to do this? i really need some help.

Also I changed the file system from database to file but that didn't help as well.. I actually swiched over from phpbb software and downloads were fine with that. I actually had it setup so that users can upload up to 50 meg files and they downloaded without a problem. i have a dedicated box with root access so of course I had to make changes to my php.ini to handle the large uploads.

But now I have changed to vbulletin the users can upload just fine. But it seems that some files will no download completed. They stop at like 16.3 megs every single time.

I have contact the Vbulletin.Com guys but know one can seem to help me.

P.S. I have a dedicated server with root access.

How do you upload files in server? Are you converting video files to any standard format like .flv or .swf?
