How do I make user info appear to the left of posts

Hey,
I just started working on my board and I cant figure out how to make the username go to the left of the post rather than on top. Sorry if this is a noob question but I just dont know how. Also, my upoint system doesnt seem to be working. Everything seems to be activated but members arent getting points for posts.
