database error

I get a few erors a day from vbulletin, but I have no idea what they are from. Usually they say this:

Database error in vBulletin :

Link-ID == false, connect failed
mysql error:

mysql error number: 0

But today I got a different one, what's this mean?

mysql error number: 2006

MYSQL server has gone away?!! Any ideas?

It means your mysql server is erroring out, if you own your own server you should config your mysql , if not contact your host.

Well I've never seen that one before - someone had a sense of humour when they wrote that error ......

That error is usually nothing to worry about.

I get that error all of the time when my host re-boots the server, and people are trying to access a page while the server is just starting up.

Your board is still working now, right?

yeah, it's working.
I get a few a day though, so I figured I'd holler and see if anybody knew anything.

Your server can't handle the requests. I suggest you post at the Server Configuration forum at vbulletin.com
