Generic Thread/Post Import Function/Class

I have a custom comment system I want to import into my database. I plan to make the posts by unregistered people, so there is no need to import any user information. All I need are posts, threads, and replies.

Before I go and code it myself I was wondering if anyone knows of a generic import function/class floating around out there. Something that I could simply feed my information to and it'd take care of the vbulletin side of things.
