I am currently running VB 3.3 and need to upgrade to VB 3.7, but I'm confused as how to do so seeing as I have mods on my board.

Is there a way to upgrade without messing up the mods on my board or will I need to redo all of the mods that were done all over again after I upgrade?

I'm affraid the best way to do it is to redo all your mods....Although you may only need to do the file edits.

Shwew, man thats going to be a headache. I'm not even sure of all the mods I added its been such a long time. I'd end up having to search and d/l them all again since they were all on my old PC. Uggg lol.

Thanks for the reply, I wasn't sure if there was an easier way to upgrade or not. This sure makes things a tad difficult.

Upload a fresh copy of vB 3.0.3 into a seperate directory. Then use a directory/file compair utility to note all difference of your hacked board compaired to a fresh copy.

Then upgrade to 3.0.7 and redo the differences noted before.

Thanks. Do you know type of programs do such a thing? I didn't know it was even possible.

Basically all I am worried about is the security fixs' put in between 3.0.3 and 3.0.7. It said only the global and search were needed to be replaced, but those looked like they were from vB 2.x.x in the patch on the front page here. I'll try using just the search and global from the 3.0.7 upgrade and see what I get.

Let me know if you know what programs would be good to use for that. I didn't know there were such things available.

Beyond Compare is a good one. Its $30 but offers a free 30 day trial. Winmerge is another but its free, you can find that one on sourceforge.net
