Help With Moderation Hack
I'm new to vB, so please excuse my ignorance
I have bought and installed the vB forum. I find the moderation feature of posts very poor. (Sorry guys). For my current forums, all post are moderated (to help reduce the legal action I face with my site! Currently I am being sued for 90,00 Euros - for a member's post!) The problem with the vB moderation is that when a member posts, they cannot see their post. There is no feedback as to where the post (or new thread) is. Thus while testing the new forum, my members are posting the same post two or three times! Currently with my 'asp' forum, when a member posts, their post shows to them, but not to other members until it has been approved. (This is a system I created myself). Is there a hack for doing this with vB? Thanks for any help you can offer, Nathan Corfu, Greece www.agni.gr |

Like i also answered you on vb.com, moderation will be improved in vB3.5
But no need to say sorry, i also think that the moderation options in vB3.0.x are very poor, and they look just unfinished. I have started to make a hack for vB3.0.x to imporove it. But knowing this would already be improved in vB3.5 and the fact that it is a difficult hack (many, many file edits) made me stop developing it. |
