I'm one that likes to know who is doing what and where and hiding as who, so I really like mods about different type of IP stuff. Think you can add "IP" to the list of short words so it can be searched?

Doesn't seem like a bad idea since there may be mods concering IP showing on the forums and that.

Also "Welcome" is by default filtered word because it is such a common term. Try and find the "Welcome new users hack".

I suppose words like "and" and "the" and "is" and "it" are filtered too?

'quote' is deemed too common also, so no luck searching that one out.

By default ALL words shorter then 4 characters are filtered. Among the default exceptions to that rule are ver important words like: vb, vbb, php and sql.

You can change that in the settings though - I imagine if the minimum was 2 then those words would probably be filtered anyway

As a useless question instead of answering the original one: would the FULLTEXT search capability of 3.5 mean that there are no word restrictions? As I (poorly) understand it, it would be MySQL doing the searching, not vB from a cached table of words.
