HFBoards.com
Let me know what you think. It's a hockey site.
http://hfboards.com/ (vB forums for http://www.hockeysfuture.com/ ) I had to do a lot of "fudging" with Xenon's Forums in Columns hack as some of you will surely notice. |

I don't own it, "beano33" does, if that makes any sense.
There's several of us that use this account, including the owners. I'm the forum admin who adds a lot of modifications and keeps people in line. My username on hfboards.com is Buffaloed. |

Well, you probably know what type of reaction you'll get from me, Buffaloed. :P
I think you've done a terrific job with the site -- especially when you consider all that has happend with the NHL this season... It ain't easy trying to maintain a website, when there just isn't much of it (hockey) to talk about. I'm just curious to know what type of advertising methods you have done, to create such a large community fanbase... You guys are definetly #1 on the list (at least in my opinion) when it comes to talking hockey with other fans on the web. If there isn't 1 person who follows hockey, and doesn't already know about HFBoards.com, I'd be hard press to find out. Anyway, keep up the good work. I think you've got a bit of everything going with your site! |

Thanks for the kind words. We don't do any advertising although I'm tempted to recommend something when the lockout ends. The free content from the ~50 writers on the main site is what makes the forums go. You have to pay for anything remotely comparable. People don't like to pay.
