How can I prevent the html code to be broken in email sent by vb?

like

<a href="mailto

ostings@site.com?subject=[thread-10826-224e7]">
Click here to reply by mail</a>

In that example, the link received started at "mailto and ended at Click

omitting the tags

vB doesn't allow you to send HTML email by default, that's why (I think)

Depends, where is this email being sent from? The admincp?
