urgent : database exporting / repairing

right,

we've got a database on our site thats been used for quite some time now and lots of hacks have been installed that have effected the database tables. Now because we are changing hacks and want to be able to do it all without much messing around we need to either

1. restore all the tables to their original "out of the box" fields and drop any unwanted tables. This would keep all the users / threads / posts + attachments that are already on our board.

2. export just the users threads posts and attachements and import them back into a new database.

We don't have much time here as pretty much we have a 48hr window to get this done in and we've left it abit late as usual. I could do with a little input as to the quickest way to do this.

worst case senario is dropping the entire db starting from a fresh install and getting everyone to sign up again but our user base is sooooo tetchy the people we maintain the site for will probably go insane!

Hmm difficult one. Most easy one would be to create 2 temporary databases:
1. A fresh (empty) install of vBulletin with preferably the same version you are running now.
2. Export your current database with only table structures, no data.

Now do a backup/export of both and do a file compair on the 2 files to find the differences in the table structures between both testdatabases. These are the database changes you will need to do to get your current database in a default configuration again.
