Require users to re-agree to the forum agreement?
Hi,
My forum has been operating for over 3 years now, and some of our regular members have been here since the very beginning. However, as the forums have progressed, we've had to change the forum registration agreement. Although I've copied and pasted it in the FAQ, offending members are still using the excuse that they did not read it in the FAQ when they signed up, so they are therefore not bound by the *new* terms in the agreement. As a solution to this, I would like to see a hack which will display a page with any message on (in this case, the forum agreement) which requires users to click an 'I agree' button on the bottom of the page before they can resume using any of the forum functions. Is this possible? Perhaps it might involve shifting all Registered Users to a new usergroup which is forced to view that page, and upon clicking 'I Agree', users would be automatically placed back into the Registered Users group. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

There is a hack around that forces people after logging in to read a Rules page before they can continue. This will only happen until they clicked Agree.

Woohoo here it is!
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ht=force+rules I didn't know that one had been made because I requested this same hack 6 months ago and no one had thought of it then |
