Publish date when we edit an article...

When I edit an article, I can see:

Current Published Date (ex.: 02-03-2005)
Change Published Date (ex.: 01-01-2004)

The second field is always 01-01-2004 so when I edit an article, publish date is always reset to (01-01-2004) if I forgot to change this...

Is this possible to make the "Change publish date" like "Current Published date" by default???
