Change Posted By Name Via Moderate Threads
I've attached my moderate.php file. I'm trying to make it so that when I got to my Moderate Threads page, it will show the "Posted by:" and then the USERNAME of the postee in a changable field (text form box), and I want to then be able to change that ..
For example: Say John Doe submits news (posts a moderated thread in our news forum) to us .. we can then go to the modcp ... and change the username on the post from John Doe to our user name (so that it appears as though staff posted the news) and then we can simply add a "submitted by john doe" line at the bottom of the post. Any ideas? I tried editing the attached file .. but it doesn't work. Quote:

You aren't allowed to attach full files....specially not with your license number on them.

You may not distribute the files. As per line 7 of the very file you posted: "This file may not be redistributed in whole or significant part." |

I'm not sure what your using for your front page, but assuming were talking about a general forum your first method wouldn't work for a lot of reasons I dont care to explain atm.
Your second method could work. Submitted by and approved by stuff is a template edit more or less. Just add a field to your db in the corresponding table called "approved_by" or something. Then edit the right vbfiles to pass the variable on into that field and retrieve in your news script. |
