Navbits & PhraseGroups

Quick question - did vBulletin change the way navbits and phrasegroups work from 3.0.1 to 3.0.7?

Why do I ask? - My phrasegroups work on my 3.0.1 board, but my custom navbits won't. However, on my 3.0.7 test board, it has reversed. So have do I have to look more vigorously for my mistake, or is there an explanation?
