Possible to Remove Points? · **Released**: 03-04-2005

Is it possible to take points away from users? For instance, I have tournaments and whatnot on my site and I give users points for winning. Well, I found out someone cheated so I want to remove the points I gave them. Is there a simple way to do this or do I need to do it through phpMyAdmin? Even then, I'm not 100% sure where to look.

You can use 2 methods:
1- Go to the ACP, and edit the user's points.
2- Use "Admin Donate", and enter a negative amount of money

what if they have already put it in their bank? When you go to the adminCP, it only shows what they're carrying; not what they have in their bank. With the Admin Donate, same question. Will I be able to take more than they're carrying?

I've also come across this problem of not being able to easily edit the amount a person has in their bank. I haven't tried it with the admin Donate but I think it'll just make there 'pocket' amount a negative value. If they keep there money in the bank it won't be affected, but once they withdraw the money from the bank whatever there negative pocket amount was will be 'subtracted' from what they took out from the bank. It's not very affective since the person can just leave the money in the bank to earn interest.

If you don't figure out another way, you could login as the user withdraw the money from the bank and than edit the amount in their pocket.
